State Senators Perkins and Adams call for NY National Guard to come home
New York State Senators Bill Perkins and Eric Adams are drafting legislation that calls on Governor David Paterson to bring New York National Guardsmen back home from Iraq. “The authorization to federalize the National Guard is no longer justified. We now know that there are no weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein is dead and Iraq is not a threat to the U.S.,” said State Senator Perkins in an interview with the AmNews. The legislation, which is still in early draft stages, will be introduced to the legislature in January. Incidents of HIV Worse than Previously Known
MEXICO CITY (NNPA) - The number of people infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is 40 percent higher than the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been reporting each year, according to new figures recently released.
